Law via the Internet 2025 – Shaping the Future of Legal Accessibility
The “Law via the Internet” (LVI) conference is the official conference of the Free Access to Law Movement (FALM), of which the IGSG-CNR has been a member since 2016.
The 2025 edition will take place in Sydney from 12 to 14 November 2025, and is dedicated to the theme: Shaping the Future of Legal Accessibility: Improving Access to Law through Legal Information, Technology, and Artificial Intelligence.
LVI 2025 brings together court administrators and judges, legislative drafters, free access and commercial legal information providers, justice sector policymakers, as well as legal tech entrepreneurs and university researchers. Key themes include access to legal data, the transformative potential of artificial intelligence, and the challenges of ensuring integrity, reliability, and trust in a time of rapid technological change. Generative AI now represents the most significant disruption to legal information systems since the emergence of free access more than thirty years ago.
The IGSG-CNR will participate in the conference with a presentation by Ginevra Peruginelli, titled “Open Bibliographic Data and Legal Scholarship: An Empirical Analysis of European and Italian Outputs in OpenAlex (2020–2024).”
