The judges@europe forum 2023, organised by the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN), will be held on 25-27 October 2023 at the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights in Syracuse, Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This edition will focus on the good administration of justice from three different angles, all of which relate to the rule of law: accountability through disciplinary and liability regimes; accountability through performance and performance control; and accountability through transparency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This second edition of the judges@europe forum continues building upon the Council Conclusions \u201cBoosting Training of Justice Professionals\u201d<\/a> of 8 March 2021. The European Commission entrusts EJTN with organising a forum fostering dialogue among judges, facilitating exchanges between them on topics relating to the rule of law as well as the integrity, accountability and independence of the judiciary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Participants in the forum will be able to bring cases from their own experience and discuss them in a safe and protected space under the Chatham House Rule<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Marco Fabri, researcher at IGSG \u2013 Bologna Branch, has been invited to participate at the forum as a prominent expert in the topics that will be discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
